Our family farm's journey

Our family farm in the beautiful Bethells Valley began in 1997 with a vision. We dreamed of creating a sanctuary built on organic growing principles, free from toxic pest control or chemical fertilisers, to protect our precious natural surroundings.

Handcrafted with love and care

What does 'made with love' truly mean to us? Each batch of our organic dried persimmons is created with meticulous care. It starts from harvesting the sweetest sun-ripened fruit from our trees, right through to our special low-temperature drying process, a technique refined over three decades of experience.

Our commitment to organic farming and supporting local New Zealand produce is at the core of Happy Farmers' philosophy. Locally grown produce is not only the most gentle on the environment, but it also offers the freshest quality, and directly supports small family businesses like ours to invest in the local economy.

For our family, the persimmon harvest is more than a season—it is a cherished tradition. Every autumn, we gather the ripe fruit by hand and peel, slice, and carefully dry them, transforming each harvest into the naturally sweet dried persimmons we proudly share with others.
